Distorted coverage of infrastructure bill

The U.S. House passed a historic $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill (previously passed in the Senate with 69 votes), which provides: over $900 billion for roads/bridges, more than $70 billion each for drinking water/wastewater, the electric grid, $45 billion for broadband and $10 billion for veterans.

But the headlines we see are: Biden's poll numbers tank, Gloomy landscape for Democrats, but no headlines such as: President Biden created more jobs in 10 months (5.8 million) than Trump in his first 2 years (4.5 million). This despite the former president calling his "the best economy in U.S. history."

We also hear how the infrastructure bill is unpopular with the American people. We don't hear reporters ask voters if they oppose clean drinking water, better access to the internet, new roads, highways or veterans. How often does the media report that almost all Republicans voted against the bill?

It should also be noted how every Republican voted against the American Rescue Plan, which provided free vaccines, a restaurant revitalization fund, $1400 checks to taxpayers, child tax credits, and more.

When the media does not do their job and provide all of the information to the public, we should not be surprised by "Biden's poll numbers."
