A fun, festive facade

After moving to the area five years ago, I thought Naperville was a progressive and accepting town until reading the article about the Planning Commission's reaction to JoJo's paint design. I think the paint job is fun and festive and a colorful draw for customers. Are the commission members so controlling they have to tell businesses how they have to paint their store fronts? Here's an idea. How about they serve the people that elected them and exert control over city finances so taxes don't have to be raised every year.
