Carbon fee is tax on poor

With all due respect for Gabriel Perdue, Peggy McClanshan and Thomas Rausch, putting a tax on carbon is a tax on the poor. Hybrid cars cost about 20% more than their gasoline counterparts and completely powered electric cars cost double. Waiting for a tax on gasoline to trickle down to cover the cost of converting carbon to electricity is Reaganomics all over again.

People who can only afford Chevy Sparks, Hyundal Accents, Mitsubishi or Nissan Versa will be footing the bill. The cost of roofing tar. the cost of asphalt, the cost of all plastics and even Vaseline would skyrocket. There must be a better way, period.

Speaking about Reaganomics, I am still wait for that trickle-down effect in my bank account from the 1980s when Reagan was president.
