Where are quieter jets?
It's a beautiful morning in Des Plaines. A perfect morning to sit on my deck with coffee and newspaper. However - thanks to the new runways at O'Hare, it is not pleasant. Plane after plane flying over my house takes all the pleasure from my morning.
I realize that the airport is a necessary part of Chicago, but what happened to the new planes with quieter engines? I have lived in my house for 55 years and if those engines are supposedly quieter, how come they are worse than ever before? What does the O'Hare Commission say about the increased noise?
