Publishing York is not responsible

You have had multiple readers write to complain about Bryon York. He is like a bad scab you somehow can't help yourself from picking at each week. It's a sadistic mood I'm in when I begin his column each week wondering how he is going to tell half truths, or use a poll of Fox News listeners as though it was the general feeling of our country.

Recently, he complained about the immigration of the Afghan refugees, questioning their vetting. I was accepting this as more of his "keep America white" propaganda, but when he said Steven Miller said the vetting process was not done correctly, I lost it.

Steven Miller replaced several career State Department officials with persons who shared his beliefs. He did not want "those" people in our country. These Afghans who aided the U.S. military during the conflict were owed not only our gratitude, but safe passage out of Afghanistan. The visa process and vetting (and they had already gone through a 14-point vetting process) is supposed to be completed in a reasonable amount of time. Many of these Afghans have been waiting, in danger, for eight to 10 years. We owe them more.

Using such "reliable" sources as Steven Miller to sell a view Bryon York must agree with is not responsible journalism. Your only real reasons for publishing his vitriol each week is either you like that it engages readers such as myself or you are in agreement with his agenda. Neither is very praiseworthy.
