Fathers and abortion

Much has been written about the new abortion law in Texas, but I have not seen any information about legislation regarding all the new fathers-to-be in Texas. I assume I just missed it.

Surely they will require the new fathers (or their parents if underage) to take on the financial and moral obligations for these new babies. The new moms will be carrying the baby to term, at financial cost to them or the state, won't the new fathers be expected to contribute to offset that cost?

And if these new babies become wards of the state, that burden will be for 18 years. I'm sure the young men of Texas will take this opportunity to embrace fatherhood (or their parents will until they are of age) and be a strong positive influence. Encouraging them in school, sports, outdoor activities and importantly the "birds and the bees" talk. I'm sure the parents of these soon-to-be fathers look forward to raising their new grandchildren, even if they are still raising their own children.

The new law is said to be a blueprint for other states leaning that way, I'm sure these states will also want to adopt whatever Texas comes up with to enforce fatherhood on their young men. After all a strong male role model is vital in a young life. Now is the time for Texas men to shine, they have determined what is right for the young women of Texas; I'm sure they will legislate the young men soon. I must have just missed it.

Abortion should not be a form of birth control, but it should be the choice the couple involved, not the legislature.
