Welfare programs were designed to fail

John Vercillo, Elk Grove, hit all the salient points on the head. Including the complicity of the media and this paper in glossing over the failures of the Great Society, its War On Poverty and every other social welfare program orchestrated by the Democrat Party. Choosing to blame instead everybody else who does not lock-step follow the liberal line. with the Marshall Plan (U.S.A.) rebuilt West Germany and Japan after we and our allies flattened them. Both after 15 years were not only going concerns with rebuilt cities, but also valuable allies.

Three possibilities - 1) Not enough money was spent: Don't believe that. 2) The Germans and Japanese were just better material: Don't like that, either; or 3) The social welfare programs of the Democratic Party were always designed to fail: Bingo, that's the one.

For, if they had succeeded, they would have become a perpetual fringe party, for if I have economic and social independence what do I need them for?

It is not conservatives, NRA members, collectors, hunters or target shooters that have turned Chicago into Chi-Raq as well as other metropolitan areas. You can tell that just based on the marksmanship.

It is the Democrats. They like dependent voters. As long as 90% of the progeny of the Great Society knee-jerk votes for them, I could care less about their problems. I do not say vote for some RINO, instead, but vote for somebody else who really wants to help you with successful programs.

Sixty years of failure is enough.
