Do more to stop illegal fireworks

Well, this year the people setting off illegal fireworks started maybe a week before the 4th of July, setting off fireworks. As of the night of the 19th, one of my neighbors has set off fireworks every evening. So three weeks of illegal fireworks isn't enough for you?

While I don't have PTSD, having served in the U.S. Air Force from '67 to '71, I know of military friends who did come back from Vietnam and still suffer from PTSD. These illegal fireworks have horrible effects on them. We have dogs that spend the nights shaking because of them. I'm certain that there are parents who have youngsters who cannot go to sleep due to these illegal fireworks.

Fireworks do not show that you're a patriot. They show that you're inconsiderate of your neighbors and that you feel that you're above the law (i.e., not patriotic).

I only wish that law enforcement would start arresting some of these people and that the courts would impose substantial fines. Perhaps that would reduce the number of these lawbreakers.
