Illinois' mystifying plan for distributing vaccine
I just finished reading your news story "How some got shots" regarding the COVID-19 vaccine shots.
It does not ask the real question: Why are only 4.86% of Illinois residents fully vaccinated versus the 13.6% of the U.S. population?
I heard the governor saying how good we are doing. But compared to what?
Certainly not comparing Illinois to the vast majority of states that have managed the vaccines well, or at least better.
Face it. Illinois has been among the worst states for managing the COVID vaccinations. Whatever the Illinois plan was has been far behind many other states.
What plan was there? And then why doesn't it work?
Sounds like a good news story could be written. Why not?
Vaccines given equals 4.86% in Illinois vs. 13.6% in the U.S.? Certainly a big loss for Illinois residents (and voters).
Sorry, but I must stop here. I need to go on five different websites to see is I can score a vaccine.
