The levers of 'fairness'

I thought it was predictable that the Daily Herald chose to use an article from the Washington Post titled "SNL brings Britney, Cruz together in parody." It mentions that their television skit (justly) pokes fun at Republican Texas Senator Cruz for vacationing in Mexico during his state's polar vortex.

What neither the title nor the article chose to mention was that they also parodied Democratic Gov. Cuomo on the show, which frankly shocked me as the Democrats usually get a free pass (or an Emmy) from the entertainment industry for their transgressions.

I've heard the liberal media state that they hope that the Biden administration reinstitutes the Fairness Doctrine to limit the reach of conservative media. I have the feeling that this change won't involve "fairness" in all the other levers in the media that the left controls.
