Ride service a blessing

I would like to send kudos to the Village of Schaumburg for the Dial-a-Ride service they offer residents of Schaumburg. For those who are unfamiliar with the Dial-a-Ride program, it is a pay per ride bus service. It is door to door. It is a godsend for residents who don't drive, and it is almost totally paid for by the Village of Schaumburg.

My sister, who does not drive, used this service almost daily for several years. She used the Dial-a-Ride service of Elk Grove Village when she moved there. Now she is moving to Palatine and to our dismay, we found out there is no Dial-a-Ride service.

There is basically no public transportation in Palatine, not even for students at Harper. Schaumburg has Dial-a-Ride service to Harper. One can only reach the conclusion that Palatine does not want you to live there unless you own a car.
