A matter of medicine

I hate to be a grouch, but for how much longer do we have to listen to the CDC begging people not to travel or wear a mask?

For the last 11 months, we have watched the "entitled" and the "hurray for me" crowd resisting the directions of the medical professionals begging them to mask up and not travel. We have then been assailed by police, politicians and other folks that spread the word that these orders are against the Constitution.

A hint: COVID-19 isn't a law-abiding entity. This not a legal issue, it is a medical issue, a national health crisis. Look at the number of deaths.

I am willing to bet that the same folks who think it's unconstitutional to require face masks or quarantines go to a medical facility if they get sick and not to the county courthouse.

A hint to the legislators: without penalty, there is no perceived need to comply. I think there should be a cost for helping infect or kill others.

If I were to punch someone in the nose I could be charged with assault. How is one allowed to infect or kill others with no penalty or expect treatment for yourself?

It doesn't sound charitable but this virus doesn't play by our rules.
