Editorial: A salute to those on the pandemic front lines

Second in an Opinion series

Doctors, nurses, police, emergency workers, health care workers, grocery staff. All became heroes on the front lines of the 2020 war on coronavirus. Photos on this page show just some of the thousands of people throughout the suburbs who have played and are playing an essential role in getting us through this crisis. We salute and thank them for the risks they took and the sacrifices they made to protect and secure the health of the rest of us.
