GOP must choose: democracy or autocracy?

To the vast majority of Republican members of Congress and leaders of states:

As an American citizen, I am appalled but not surprised by your deafening silence in recognizing and accepting Joe Biden as the duly and lawfully elected winner of the 2020 presidential election.

Your silence makes you complicit in this ongoing presidential political sham of making unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud which is a slap in the face of every American who exercised their constitutional right to choose the next leader of this nation.

Your silence continues to prove your willingness to pander to and support a man who cannot and will not accept defeat, and who continues to wrongfully insist that the very same election process which gave him the presidency in 2016 should now be scrutinized, vilified, and summarily dismissed because he did not win.

Is this your idea of government for the people and by the people? Avoiding the inevitable will not only increase the rancor and partisan discord, but most importantly, delay the orderly transition of power, the hallmark of a free nation. This will only hurt us, the American people.

I choose democracy over autocracy. Do you?
