Acknowledge injustices

We must acknowledge that racial injustice prompted the Black Lives Matter movement. We must also acknowledge that the movement doesn't seem to apply to black lives in the womb. The most dangerous location for black children in this country today is not the streets of our inner cities but rather the womb. For example, the New York City Health Department reported that between 2012 and 2016, black mothers terminated 136,426 pregnancies and gave birth to 118,127 babies. That's right, more babies were killed than born alive.

We won't resolve the abortion or racism issue until there is a change of heart in our nation. That change of heart is what made slavery, which like abortion was legal, ultimately unthinkable. A change of heart will lead us to see that we are all children of God, including the unborn, and therefore brothers and sisters. Only then will abortion and racism become unthinkable.
