Right about welfare

I want to applaud Walter E. Williams for the editorial "Insults to black history" on the Opinion page of the June 25 Daily Herald. He is totally correct about the historic success of blacks in America and the current problem with the policies that reward dependency and irresponsibility in a large segment of the black communities. It's not racism, it's the welfare state that we've created that supports fatherless families.
