Institutions, culture are being threatened

I call upon the editors, the reporters and the columnists of the Daily Herald to look around and understand what is happening. The institutions and culture of the most successful nation in history in terms of freedom and opportunity are being demeaned and destroyed.

Cities are falling into anarchy and murder because of the inaction of those who have been elected to insure domestic tranquility. Statues are being destroyed and defaced: first of Robert E. Lee and The black 54th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, then on to Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Grant and Theodore Roosevelt - and no mayor or governor has done anything to stop it.

The Democrats in Congress do nothing and say nothing, assuming that once their unswerving quest for power is achieved, the anarchists will be sated. The Republicans are perhaps worse, abandoning their principles and hiding under their desks hoping no one will deem them racists.

The tipping point is here. Unless our elected representatives enforce our laws and restore the ideals of our trinity - In God We Trust, Liberty and E Pluribus Unum - we, the last stand of freedom on Earth and the rest of the world, will plunge into the abyss of a new Dark Age.
