Definition of hypocrisy

Updated 6/22/2020 9:20 AM

Recently a Chicago police officer who was photographed making an obscene gesture to protesters was stripped of his police powers and placed on administrative duties. Mayor Lightfoot has been very vocal that she thinks the officer should be fired. Just last week during a press conference, Mayor Lightfoot said an extreme obscenity to President Trump. Additionally this week Mayor Lightfoot had an expletive-laced fight with an alderman over the recent riots.

Is that not the definition of hypocrisy? Fire the officer but disregard my same actions. Give the officer a reprimand and let's all move toward being a little more polite to one another.
