Tone deaf pay raise

On April 22, the Naperville District 203 school board agreed to give the NUEA teachers an average 3.88 percent pay raise. Meanwhile in Illinois over a million people have lost their jobs, countless others are furloughed, many had to close businesses, have taken pay cuts or have seen their income reduced in various ways - not to mention the 4,600 who have died from the coronavirus in Illinois. To District 203 Superintendent Dan Bridges, I ask, "Are you completely tone-deaf to the tax payers of your district? Do you live on another planet?"
