On Mideast history

I would like to correct Mr. Zlotow"s story of Mideast history. In 1948, the UN created two states. On the day Israel was created, It was attacked by six Arab armies who vowed to drive Israelis into the sea. At that time Israel had a population of 750,000, many of whom were holocaust survivors. The Israelis were able to beat the invaders back and instead of drowning, they won more land. At least about a half dozen times over the years, Israel has been attacked. The Six-Day War was the only time Israel attacked first and only because the UN soldiers that were a buffer between Egypt and Israel were ordered out by Egypt, who made no secret of attacking, again promising to push Israelis into the sea. By the way, Israel returned the land taken in that war to Egypt some years later. Now as far as Palestinians being displaced, I would like to inform Mr. Zlotow that almost a million Jews whose families had lived in Arab countries for many years were told to leave with what they could carry. A country of 750,000 had to absorb more than that number, They did. Where were all the Arab countries who were willing absorb Palestinian refugees? They didn't exist.
