Some need help to enjoy farmers market

When I moved into this wonderful town five years ago, I was excited to hear about the Farmer's Market. My happiness however turned into bitterness upon learning that I along with many others in town who are low income would never be allowed to buy the delicious fruits and vegetables or pastries since we can't afford them.

What? Is this possible?

Sadly yes it is. In other towns, such as Evanston, a coupon booklet is given to low-income folks allowing them to participate.

To feel welcome in their neighborhood. This is not the case in Arlington Heights.

I really wish the "powers that be" would think this problem through and realize even the low-income folks in town contribute and matter.
