Congressman proving to be unfit in crisis

The last month of coronavirus chaos has shown the people of the 6th District of Congress what Sean Casten's priorities really are. While serious legislators were busy preparing a coronavirus relief package, Casten signed a letter to Pelosi pushing for additional subsidies for the green energy industry.

With Casten being invested in the green energy sector, this places him on the growing list of congressmen who seem to have tried to use their office for financial gain during an international crisis.

On top of that, he also hasn't been shy about defending the Chinese response to the outbreak, lauding them for isolating the virus in Wuhan while, in reality, it has already killed thousands in distant provinces, and these are just the numbers that China has made public.

And of course, being the hyperpartisan he is, he said that the press briefings, being held by the Coronavirus Task Force in an honest attempt to keep the public updated and informed, should be taken off the air because he says they are killing people.

Meanwhile, Jeanne Ives has been taking this matter seriously and she's used her platform to bring attention to local problems. She's held interviews with small business owners and other local professionals to inform the public on the situation they're facing.

She also provided a resource page to further assist people in finding valuable information all in one place. Over the last few weeks, Jeanne has yet again employed her record of proven leadership to help the constituents of a congressman who can't honestly say that he's done the same.

In a time of crisis, Sean Casten has proved his inability to get past his partisanship and help Americans who are suffering.
