Candidate's positions are distorted

I am writing to express my support for Jeanne Ives, who is running in the upcoming primary against Jay Kinzler for the District 6 seat in Congress.

Ives is a true conservative but she is not the far-right, intolerant person her political foes have characterized her to be. As a member of the Illinois legislature, she was successful in reaching across party lines, despite party differences, to bring about legislation that would benefit all Illinoisans, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or sexual preferences. In all these cases, she put aside her own personal beliefs (which all people are entitled to) and helped legislate laws that were beneficial for all.

She also did not shy away from confronting her own party. She took on Republicans that she disagreed with and did not endorse Rauner when he ran the second time. In fact, she ran against him in the primary and almost won. She looked at the bills before her with an objective eye. If she did not feel they were in the best interests of her constituents, it did not matter which party proposed them; she voted against them. Her voting record in the Illinois Assembly speaks for itself.

For these reasons, she has amassed wide support from people not only in the state of Illinois but nationwide. She has the financial support she needs to run an effective campaign against the progressive Sean Casten, who I'm sure will be financially backed by the powerful DNC once more. I don't believe that Mr. Kinzler has the means to do that.

I encourage all Illinois District 6 Republicans to vote for her in the upcoming primary. She is the candidate that can beat Sean Casten.
