14th Dist. race shows importance of voting

On March 17, the Republican primary election for the Illinois 14th congressional district will take place. It is important to spread the word about this election and encourage people to vote, because the winner of this election will then face incumbent Democrat Lauren Underwood in the November elections. The outcome of the primary election will ultimately determine whether the 14th district will be represented in the U.S. House of Representatives by either a Republican or Democrat.

If the Republican voters in the district pick a strong candidate who could defeat Underwood, then the district will become Republican. Considering that Illinois is a Democratic state, this could mean a big change for the Republicans in the state. Everyone should be encouraged to vote in both the primary and general election, so that they can ensure their say in the government at both state and federal levels.
