Ives ready, able to win for GOP in 6th District

Voters will have an opportunity in the March 17 primary to win back the sixth Congressional District. Ives though is not the Republican candidate of the past. With a fire in her belly, an honest forthright manner and an articulated platform of sound common sense legislation, she comes ready to enter the political boxing ring with Sean Casten.

Ives doesn't shy away from a tough fight, in fact her military service prepares her as someone to be reckoned with. As a veteran, she understands the representational battles we face all over Illinois. Ives comes battle-tested and ready to restore, accountable proactive fair common sense representation to taxpayers and supporters alike. She is a counter puncher.

I am consistently impressed with her principled conviction and resolve to be a bipartisan problem solver. Further, I believe she, among very few, can advance the people's agenda under the most highly partisan landscape. Ives' levelheaded intellect and track record assures that her priority will be constituents. Ives' independence gives her latitude to be an effective citizen legislator.

Her unapologetic style and refreshingly brutal honesty about the state of our state has garnered fierce loyalty among her base and ardent supporters. Ives' credentials from the private sector are exactly what is deficient in our discourse and representation.

Ives is a new brand of Republicans who put people over populist ideologies. Conservatism isn't dead, but the voices of this electorate have become muted and driven underground by the radical politics of the day. I ask voters to join with me to support her candidacy and usher in a new era of sound political judgment that few like Ives will deliver. Partisanship aside, Ives will put the us first, not political agendas.
