P.E. teacher made a lifelong impression

I must have missed the Dec. 31 Bob Frisk contribution in the paper, but I did catch the Jan. 10 letter "More than a nice lady," the note about Jean Walker from Prospect High School.

For years, I've always remembered Miss Walker when she was our PE teacher. I graduated early back in '77, but her name still is embedded in me for the great values that she taught all of her students.

Years ago, when I went to Aurora and saw Trisha Yearwood in concert, I believe I saw her there in the theater, too, and I really wish I had gone up at that time and thanked her for everything that she had taught us.

Forty years later I still think of this woman so she must have had a great impact on us all.

So glad that they named the field house after her.
