Bloomberg shows he is out of touch

Michael Bloomberg is running for president in 2020. To boost his credibility, he says he will not accept private donations for his campaign and will not take the presidential salary if he should be elected. Whoooppee Dooo. He seems to think that this makes him look good. How out of touch could he be?

Only a billionaire could run for president without accepting private donations. Does he really think that refusing to take the presidential salary would make him look good? What is $400,000 a year to someone with his resources.

Should we limit those running for this office to those who can "self-fund?" Should we only elect those to this office who don't need the salary?

This shows how unqualified Bloomberg is for the office of president in a democracy. He seems to think that only the extremely rich should run for president. He must believe that the un-rich should have no say in who does run for this office by donating to the candidate who best represents them.

The fact that Michael Bloomberg believes this shows him to be unfit and unworthy to lead the largest democracy in the world. The fate of that democracy depends upon who wins the presidential election of 2020. We don't need a self-funded billionaire any more than we need a narcissistic, psychopathic, Russian stooge.

Americans should support the presidential campaign of the candidate of their choice now, with their dollars and their actions. They should then vote according to their beliefs in 2020, while encouraging others to vote also.

Our democracy and our nation's future are at stake.
