Not a dumb voter

As a conservative who voted for our duly-elected President Donald Trump, I'd like to respond to Donna F. Lambert's recent letter. Like most letters from liberal Democrats, it's full of generalities and no specific examples. The whole tone seems to be how dumb President Donald Trump is and, by inference, how dumb I am for voting for him and continuing to support him.

He's on Twitter to defend himself from the daily onslaught of accusations and lies about him. So good for him. Someone needs to stand strong against the CNNs, the NBCs, the NPRs, The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc. And he's not suing any TV shows or newspapers. He tends to the business of the U.S. every day since he only sleeps about four hours a night. Here are a few of his accomplishments:

- The lowest unemployment numbers for blacks, women, Hispanics, etc. ever.

- Over 3.9 million off food stamps and contributing to society.

- A major tax cut for individuals, meaning more money in their pockets.

- A major tax cut for businesses, meaning they can expand, pay higher dividends, bring overseas profits back to the U.S.

- Making the U.S. energy independent and a net exporter of energy.

- Renegotiating trade treaties so America receives a fair shake.

- Reducing burdensome regulations put in place by un-elected bureaucrats.

- Building walls on our southern border to at least slow down illegal immigration.

- Started to rebuild the military.

- Moved the U.S. Embassy to Israel's capital - Jerusalem.

- Implemented the First Step Act criminal reform bill.

And look who the Democrats have running for their presidential nomination: socialists, anti-capitalists, none of whom seem to like America. So who's ill-informed?

Maybe I'm not so dumb after all.
