Stopping progress for an unproven theory

Using tactics that would have made Goebbels blush, the Daily Herald subjected us to an entire week of climate change hysteria and propagand, highlighted by the impassioned ramblings of a girl who somehow has mastered, in her brief 16 years, the total temperature, climate, rotational, orbital, atmospheric and ecological history of Earth's 4 billion years.

It did so without acknowledging the failed global cooling predictions of the 1960s and 70s, the false global warming scares of the 1990s, and the endless threats of billions dying and an ice-free arctic by the early 2000s.

It didn't mention the UN's own IPCC had years ago rejected the idea that extreme weather events are caused by either natural or human-caused climate change. Or that this same organization in 2007 had stated, "The long-term prediction of climate states is not possible."

It could have quoted Dr. Patrick Moore, one of the founders of Greenpeace, who has stated repeatedly there is zero evidence of a causational relationship between CO2 and temperature, the planet is still cold by historical standards, and that CO2 is not a poison, but rather the most important food for all life on Earth.

The editors ignored the story of 500 European scientists and professionals in climate-related fields petitioning the UN for an open debate on climate change. Having analyzed the hard data collected by armies of scientists in multiple disciplines, they contend, "There is no climate emergency" and are highly skeptical of the UN's computer prognostications.

I, too, believe in holding politicians to a climate change litmus test. I need to know which of these jokers want to arrest modern civilization's prosperity and growth for the sake of an unproven theory based on shaky science whose own modeling predictions have been stupendously wrong for over half a century.
