Fact checking and climate change

Thank you for instituting the "Facts Matter" series where you will be discussing numerous items, including campaign issues and whether they are fake or real.

This is a good follow-up to your facts check in Sunday's newspaper where you explored not only president Trump's hurricane alert for Alabama, but also several Democratic candidates for his office and what they had to say about climate change/global warming.

This latter item has become a big campaign issue and really needs scrutiny. Good to see you report that scientists completely debunk the claim that oxygen levels will be decreased to such an extent that people will not be able to breathe in a number of years. Their statement was more like we have one million years of oxygen!

Keeping in mind that this is "global" warming in your fact checking. Please see what percentage population we are compared to what people are saying will be our cost to address the warming problem for the remainder of the world - China, India, Indonesia, etc.

And while you're at it, see if you can get anyone to tell us what percentage of the problem is caused by the carbon footprint versus Mother Nature and the remnants of the last 10,000-year Ice Age. The results may bear a striking resemblance.
