A potpourri of letter responses

Several statements made on the June 22 Opinion page have made me want to reflect responses.

Amy Stienbrueker: More HPV attention should be part of every parent and health education conversation.

Bill Koller: Both electoral parties have been perverted by the many needs of the voting public. They evolve constantly but not always for the "better good". Our government is in constant flux. Looking at what will get them reelected rather than what is needed most.

T.K. Petersen: Our roads are horrible, we all agree. Who caused it to be is not the question (truck or car). Why aren't they repaired properly is. They are done by the lowest bidder with the best political connections. Better use of road funds and newest technology for long term use must be the priority.

Terry Witt: No such thing as "fair taxes" have ever been found. Taxes are the necessary evil of society. Shortage of money and who gets the "lion's share" is always a struggle for the needy. The resolution escapes any logical conclusion.

Karen Monthe: Killing any animal or human for practical reasons is a crime against humanity. Only those having to make this horrible choice need to be involved in the decision after all options are exhausted. It is not government's job.

John Healy: My hope is that you have the knowledge and technology to fix our infrastructure but past experience has diminished my faith, more power to you if you can.
