Let's track how Illinois' new revenue is spent

There has been much written lately about all the great things that will be done with the revenues from the new gasoline tax, the increased car registration monies and if passed, the new Fair Tax income. One of my issues with all of these revenue streams is actually knowing how they get spent.

One solution might be an independent watchdog. The state and our ever-smiling governor should be required to provide a monthly report on how much of the new revenues was spent and on what projects. This cannot be a generalization but extremely specific.
