Bill will fill need for state's roads, bridges

As president and CEO of a 90-year-old business in Mount Prospect, I am writing to thank many of our area legislators (Reps. Carroll, Conroy, D'Amico, Didech, Edley-Allen, Martwick, Mazzochi, McAuliffe, Moylan, Mussman, Walker and Willis and Senators Tom Cullerton, Harmon, Gillespie, Link, McConchie, Morrison, Mulroe, Murphy and Villivalam) for their support of investment into Illinois' decaying infrastructure.

It's been far too long since Illinois taxpayers have invested into our own roads, bridges, transit systems, rail and air facilities. Why does that matter? The investment will make all of our lives better.

And it matters a great deal to the hundreds of people who are part of the Arrow Road family of employees. These people are your neighbors and friends and they spend in area restaurants and stores the money they earn working on the roads and rails that connect us.

Now that policymakers in Springfield have approved a funding program for infrastructure that will allow Illinois to keep up with maintenance and rebuilding needs, we can get back to work improving the safety and quality of life for the traveling public.

From all of us at Arrow Road, thank you.
