Other Illinois agencies also need attention

Heaven knows that the Illinois DCFS system has needed reforms for many years and the children in their care deserve much better.

But I really hope that it does not take the same impact from the story in Crystal Lake to get the same amount of Springfield in regards to providing the same energy and determination in reforming the Illinois Developmental Disability System, which also has vulnerable voices that deserve to be listened to also.

It should never take huge publicity to do what is needed to help the most vulnerable among us.
