Often, a lot of words with no substance

Sen. Schumer complained that no Democrats were involved with President Donald Trump's new health plan. What a short memory.

He was one of the Democratic senators behind locked doors when the Obama health plan was passed even before it had been completely read.

I challenge the people of Illinois to sit down with a lined piece of paper and number it from one to ten. Now, write on each line what Sen/ Durbin has done for this state. OK, I will make it easier, just use five lines.

Now to our election process:

The debates carry too much weight. The loudest person who tells the most lies with a straight face has a better than even chance to get elected.

There is little or no concern with the person who has the best credentials to run the country.

If he or she cannot put on a debate performance, their chances for election are almost nil. Has Mexico built the wall? Has Hillary been held accountable for her actions?

Of course not just a lot of words with no substance.

Maybe the next election you might want to turn off the TV and look into the backgrounds of the candidates and see who is really qualified to run this country.

Even better, let's hook up a polygraph to the debaters and see who blows theirs up first.
