A society based on service

Imagine a society based on service. I offer a service to you and you pay me for that service. My service to you can be in the form of a product I produce that you want. This is called free-trade capitalism.

In politics, the people in government would be called civil servants because they provide a service to govern according to the people's wishes. This, on the simplest of terms is America, the most free country on the planet and in history.

There are people on the left who want to tear it down because it is not perfect. Let me tell you that the alternative, socialism, is a lot less perfect and a lot less free.

From the left, all I hear is how the government will take care of you, that the government will tell you how to live. I never hear the term liberty from the left. That's because liberty is freedom from government. Being free to live how you want and doing the things you want as long as you are not bothering your neighbor. For me, give me liberty.
