Impressive accomplishments on St. Charles council

St. Charles needs Rita Payleitner's experience, knowledge, integrity, values and vision. Her accomplishments the last two terms are impressive to say the least. Rita has been meeting regularly with the latest generation of owners and developers at Charlestowne Mall and wholly understands the issues.

Residents will be pleased with the forthcoming progress regarding the considered plans for blending retail, residential and entertainment. Some of Rita's votes confirmed that the First Street Plaza would extend all the way to the river; helped secure new walking paths on both sides of the river; secured in-town location for the new police department, rather than the proposed location outside of downtown; approved the Red Gate Bridge that has eased Route 64 traffic.

She is an advocate for the visionary Active River Project and her influence with the issue of video gambling up and down Main Street helped in eliminating garish neon signs in windows and storefronts.

Rita listens and responds expeditiously to the day-to-day needs and questions of her Second Ward neighbors. Let's stay the course with Rita Payleitner. Remember to vote on April 2.
