Rosenthal will shine as Prospect Heights mayor

I support Larry Rosenthal for mayor of Prospect Heights. I was Ward 1 Alderman of Prospect Heights from May 2015 though February 2019. In my almost four years of working with Larry, I witnessed his enthusiasm and energy to be a part of making Prospect Heights a wonderful place to live and work.

Larry was active not only in his role as an alderman, but also as chairman of the Strategic Directions Committee and as a representative for the city on the Chicago Executive Airport Noise Committee. He is committed to addressing the flooding and drainage issues that many residents on both the east and west side of the city suffer from, and planning for future street repairs.

Part of what has allowed Larry Rosenthal to be successful in his implementation and decision making for the city is that he has excellent communication skills which is vital for working with the council members, city staff and residents. Without communication, people are left confused, unsure or even upset in any given situation.

I have firsthand experience with the "behind-the-scenes" communications that take place in the city, and it is my opinion that Larry Rosenthal will be able to effectively communicate and work with the council, staff and residents in a professional manner and in the best interest of all. Larry has demonstrated his willingness to work with all residents, even those outside of his ward, by actually doing so; his actions have supported his words.

Prospect Heights needs a mayor who is sensitive to the issues of residents in all wards, who is honest, who has good management, leadership and communication skills and who is willing to make tough decisions; I believe Larry Rosenthal has these qualities.
