Blacks should appreciate Trump

I am forever reading that President Donald Trump is a racist. I am one African American who is not buying it.

The Democrats said that blacks were going to suffer economically under the so-called racist president Trump. However, the record shows that blacks suffered economically under a black Democratic president for eight long years.

Currently, the record shows that blacks are thriving under President Donald Trump.

The Democrats and their apparent publicity agents, the mainstream media, say that Republicans do not care about the blacks. On the contrary, President Donald Trump promised better education for black children while campaigning for president. And he has kept that promise. Parents of black children who are attending failing schools now have a choice as to the schools that their children will attend. Predominantly black inner-city schools will benefit most from the voucher and scholarship programs

Industrious blacks have President Donald Trump to thank for new business and job opportunities that are now available to them.

Because of this man that they continually label as a racist, many blacks who disproportionately occupy America's prisons are now getting a second chance in life. As reported in The Washington Post, "Making true on his promise to put former prisoners back to work, President Donald Trump has been a vocal supporter of the First Step Act in Congress.

If President Donald Trump is a racist, then he is quite lousy at being one. My prayer as a Christian American black man is that my fellow black citizens along with all citizens will take an honest look at President Trump. Not only is he not a racist but he is the best president that African Americans and all Americans have had in a very long time.
