Critic of columnist had his facts wrong
The Daily Herald printed Mike Fenella's comments Jan. 30 and criticism of Walter Williams allowing him close to 300 words to make statements and claims that lack any degree of insight and truth regarding the legal immigration process. Most of his statements are typical liberal blather as evidenced by his demonization of Fox News, yet he does not reference the proven bias of liberal news organizations like MSNBC and CNN.
His statements can be disproved by anyone who takes time to review the rules and status of the legal immigration process.
No one is waiting 15 years to gain legal status in the U.S. unless they have erred on how they applied for status. The immigration process is very complicated and there are preset limits (not set by Trump) as to how many people can enter, and these limits are different for different countries. This has been in place for many years - I know since I immigrated from Canada on a Permanent Resident Visa and as a Senior Manager, assisted several employees of my company in their efforts to gain legal entry.
I would think your staff would at least verify a person's statements before printing their letter. People reading the fiction written in this letter might take it as truth when In fact it is full of outright untruths.
