Walker is committed to helping small business

I believe that the Nov. 6 election will be a watershed for our nation. I also believe that the upcoming election in Illinois will have a great impact on the future of our state and its citizens.

Mark Walker is running for the Illinois House of Representatives in the 53rd District. I have known Mark for several years, and I was glad to hear that he is running for this office. Mark and his wife, Joan, are longtime residents of Illinois. Mark is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and has governmental experience, having been a member of the Illinois House from 2009-2011.

Mark cares deeply about the people of Illinois. He is especially concerned about small businesses, which are the backbone of our state's economy and the true "job creators." Mark sees that growing businesses need relief in the areas of regulation, cost of doing business and taxes.

He also believes that a graduated income tax, geared to help these job creators, will help employers and employees, alike. Such a tax would lower rates for most taxpayers and pave the way for property tax relief.

Mark is also committed to defending the rights of women to control their own bodies. He feels that all hard won social and economic opportunities are useless if women can't control their reproductive lives. Mark has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

Mark Walker wants to help the citizens of Illinois with jobs and tax relief and he wants women to make their own decisions. I am encouraging everyone I know in the 53rd District to vote for Mark Walker for Illinois House District 53 on Tuesday.
