The right experience is for DuPage sheriff

The upcoming election in DuPage County will prove to be of the utmost importance for the people who call DuPage their home. For those of us in DuPage who value our quality of life, safe neighborhoods and public safety; voters must stay focused to insure our choices will maintain and safeguard our heritage.

One open office that is of the utmost importance in this regard is that of DuPage County sheriff. This is not a position that should be whimsically decided along political party lines, but by a candidate's qualifications that will ensure their capability to be able to lead the Sheriff's Department to overcome the challenges that will lie ahead.

I met a DuPage sheriff's deputy at the 421 County Farm Road. DuPage Government Office Building many years ago during one of my many visits there to observe the county board meetings. After talking candidly with Deputy James Mendrick, I told him he would make a great sheriff in the future.

Today, James Mendrick is the candidate for DuPage County Sheriff who deserves your vote. He is uniquely qualified, with his near 23 years of experience on the department, which included many command positions throughout different segments of their operations. He alone has the backing of the majority of the rank and file among the deputies. Mendrick will take politics out of the office if elected and address the issues important to the publics safety. Vote Mendrick for sheriff.
