Wrong choice for Illinois governor

As a yearslong annual subscriber to the Daily Herald, I am disappointed in your governor pick. Rauner has had four years of experience, trying to make Illinois better, while his opponents have worked to keep making it worse. He has become a seasoned vet in getting some good things done, against these massive, entrenched opponents, all of whom you know only too well.

Pritzker? He is now interviewing for his first real job. Up to now, his people have learned to say "Yes" to him. If he gets elected, he will readily, repeatedly, be saying "Yes" to his new bosses -- not to the people of Illinois.

Respectfully, voting for Rauner for governor is not the status quo you say. Instead, it returns a four-year, experienced, battle-hardened pro to the Illinois governor's post, at a time when one is sorely needed.
