Endorsement: Daily Herald endorses Didech over Feldman in Illinois House Dist. 59

Democrat Daniel Didech, a Buffalo Grove attorney, and Republican Karen Feldman, a Lincolnshire real estate broker, seek to succeed state Rep. Carol Sente of Vernon Hills, who is not running. The 59th Illinois House District takes in parts of Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire, Mundelein, Vernon Hills and other suburbs.

Both Didech and Feldman have government experience, Didech as Vernon Township supervisor and Feldman as a Lincolnshire trustee.

Both have spent the election run-up blanketing the district with mailers that go beyond stretching the truth, which diminishes their standing in our eyes.

We give Didech the edge for his attempts to streamline and cut costs in Vernon Township operations. We hope he carries such initiatives to the state level if elected and urge him to do so with an independent and honest voice. We highly recommend him.
