Boycott games that don't show national anthem

Well, CBS and ESPN have come up with a solution to the problem of athletes not standing for our national anthem. They have chosen not to broadcast the national anthem. My, what a patriotic solution. Just sweep it under the rug and pretend the disrespect isn't happening.

When I was in school, we started each day by standing and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and were taught to stand for the national anthem to show respect for our country. These spoiled, overpaid athletes apparently did not receive this education or skipped these classes. If they think there is a country anywhere in the world better than the United States, they are welcome to take the next ship to that country. We hear a lot of big mouths but don't see any of them moving.

As for me, a Vietnam veteran, I have a solution and have some news for CBS, ESPN and the NFL. I will refuse to watch any football game on any network that chooses not to broadcast the national anthem at the beginning of the game. And I urge all advertisers to boycott any teams and networks that choose not to broadcast the national anthem.

I don't think we will be missing much.
