Remembering Stosh

Thanks so much to all who contributed to the wonderful stories and pictures of Stan Mikita. As soon as I saw his smiling face in the sports section I thought, "Oh, no. Stosh is gone?" Your writers did an amazing job bringing him to life for those unfortunates who never saw him play. I did, and I am grateful for it. My mom's sister, Aunt Florence, and I attended many a game from 1962 right up until the mid-70s when Bill Wirtz decided to pull the plug on TV coverage. Yes, we were right there in our Stadium seats below the press box in 1971 when "we" blew the Cup. As Beliveau smirked his way around the ice flaunting the Cup in our tearful faces, Aunt Florence and I decided we had had enough and dashed for the Ladies Room to sob quietly. Your sports writers have always done a great job keeping us up to date on our beloved Blackhawks. Thank you!
