Protect tax reforms

Having just graduated from college, it is encouraging to see positive economic data like the May jobs numbers, which illustrate the remarkable economic situation that the nation is currently experiencing. This positive trend in job growth has not merely sustained itself, but has instead beat expectations. It resonates on a level that every American can appreciate.

My representative, Peter Roskam, played a leading role in achieving the tax reform that has contributed significantly to the positive economic signals we see today. But while constituents like myself appreciate congressman Roskam pursuing this kind of meaningful work, his Democrat opponent campaigns on repealing the very tax reform that has benefited the nation's prosperity, calling for an increase in taxes that will only hinder this growth.

To let his opponent work to repeal the new tax code and increase taxes would be to put more narrow, partisan interests above those of the nation, and of young college graduates like myself. I'm supporting Roskam in November.
