Abortion callousness

Watching TV, we see pleas to save cute, homeless puppies and kittens and older dogs and cats who are in need of a loving, caring home. Our hearts hurt for these poor animals and we agree they deserve a good home and a right to life. Yet, we abort millions of babies every year in America. Are our offspring, babies conceived by humans not precious, living beings worthy of a chance for life? Abortion takes that God-given right away from them under the guise of women's rights.

These babies are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness just as all humans are. Our legislators take campaign money and who knows what else to continue to kill babies. Money pours into them from Planned Parenthood, abortion lobbyists, Hollywood ingrates and others who support this grisly process.

Is this really America? Are we so callous that we cannot or don't really care enough to protect these helpless babies? Have we become so numbed by the 60 million babies aborted since Roe v. Wade? Polls indicate that half of Americans favor abortion or don't have a strong opinion either way. God's Word, the Bible, tells us life begins at conception. Much of the science community agrees.

The Supreme Court decision made in Roe v. Wade indicated that the justices weren't capable of determining when life begins but if science could establish life at conception their decision should be overturned and babies in the womb should have the same rights as all Americans.
