Shooting was misrepresented

The letter published about the Great Mills, Maryland, school shooting under Your Views, misrepresented what happened. True, the school resource officer did respond and did fire his weapon but he missed and, thank God, no one else was hit by his inaccurate shooting. But the fact is that the school shooter took his own life with his fathers' handgun, and was not shot by the SRO. I do not think the facts support the writer's argument that teachers and SROs should be armed. The editors should have known the facts and prevented publication of sophistic and misleading arguments that endanger our children and grand children and benefit only the NRA true believers.
