Misplaced outrage against gun control

The negative response on Good Friday to Judy Arenas' brilliant plea for the safety of our children got my attention. The responder should put his sword back in its scabbard. I disagree with him about our children being wrongly brainwashed by "the lesson plans of the left," with his incorrect self-proclaimed history and his mind-bending logic used to arrive at his self-righteous falsehood. I may be able to agree with the Daily Herald that he is entitled to his wrong opinion.

Reasonable national gun control that does not abrogate the Second Amendment is in order and, because of a heartbreaking urgency, will be passed, namely complete and careful background checks and the banning of assault weapons and mega magazines of bullets for civilian use. We need a National Safe Gun Association, not the NRA.

I am not a member of the NRA. I am for the inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as is every American citizen, especially children. Our children are the real positive nonviolent peacemakers and they deserve to be called the children of God.
